Year End Planning
This is
perhaps one of the most valuable services we provide and one we
believe is most appreciated by our clients. During this process, we
estimate your current year income and estimate what your tax situation
will look like on April 15th. We can run what if cases and
make proactive decisions about how to reduce your tax liability.
Cost
A
typical year-end plan is $175 - $350
Income Tax
Returns
Of course, we will prepare all of your income tax
returns. We view income taxes as the last step in our process
together over the year. We try to make this as painless as possible
but we know taxes are not fun.
Cost
Our
minimum fee for income tax preparation is $250.00, $350.00, if you
have a schedule “C”, and $500.00 for business returns.
Payroll
We now prepare
payroll tax returns. We work with the QuickBooks program so that you
can process your own payroll. It doesn’t take much time on your part
and gives you the flexibility to process payroll when it is convenient
for you, not the payroll company. We charge a nominal fee to set up
payroll and $100.00 per quarter to prepare your payroll tax returns.
There are no monthly fees. We do not recommend that clients prepare
their own payroll tax returns. It has been our experience that it is
not what you know, but what you don’t know that causes problems and
penalties in this area.
Business Consulting and Strategic Planning
The clients that get the most value from our services
use our business consulting knowledge to help them prepare a budget to
support their short-term goals and to put in place a strategic plan
that helps them reach their long-term goals. These services are billed
at an hourly rate of $175.00 per hour.
Bookkeeping
Services
We also provide bookkeeping services for those business
owners that do not have the time or the inclination to do their own
bookkeeping. We get asked quite often when should we decide to use
an outside bookkeeper. We have two answers: 1. If your bookkeeping
is not getting done (even though you have good intentions), the ability
to manage your business is lost and this can be costly. 2. If you
are spending time on bookkeeping instead of generating sales, the
lost opportunity cost is much higher than our bookkeeping fees.
Cost
Bookkeeping is billed at $40.00 – 45.00 per hour if a bookkeeper
provides the services or $100.00 if Lynne does your bookkeeping. We
are available to come to your office or do the accounting in ours.
Billing
We bill
monthly and invoices are due within 15 days of receipt. Invoices that
are more than 45 days past due will incur a finance charge of 1% per
month.
If your account
becomes more than 60 days past due, all services, including our
responsibility for meeting filing deadlines, etc. will be
automatically suspended. We will also need to discuss the viability
of our continued business relationship.
We now accept Visa
and MasterCard if you would prefer to charge your accounting fees.
